{"id":812,"date":"2009-11-25T11:14:10","date_gmt":"2009-11-25T15:14:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.gazybrothersfarm.net\/blog\/?p=812"},"modified":"2009-11-25T11:14:10","modified_gmt":"2009-11-25T15:14:10","slug":"wine-glazed-brussels-sprouts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.gazybrothersfarm.net\/blog\/wine-glazed-brussels-sprouts\/","title":{"rendered":"Wine-Glazed Brussels Sprouts"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Type of dish: Side Dish<\/em><\/p>\n<p>2 pounds Brussels sprouts<br \/>\n1\/2 cup red wine<br \/>\n3 Tablespoons maple syrup<br \/>\n1 1\/2 Tablespoons soy sauce<br \/>\n1 1\/2 teaspoons cornstarch<\/p>\n<p>Trim the stems from the Brussels sprouts and cut an X into the base about 1\/4&#8243; deep.<\/p>\n<p>In a small bowl, combine the wine, maple syrup, and soy sauce and stir together.<\/p>\n<p>Transfer to a 3-quart saucepan along with 1\/2 cup water and the Brussels sprouts. Stir together, then cook, covered, at a gentle summer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Uncover and cook, stirring occasionally, for another 10 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Dissolve the cornstarch in a small amount of water. Stir into the saucepan quickly, then cook for another 5 minutes.
